Leadership Joseph enlisted in the United States Marine Corp just after the fall of Saigon in 1976. Accelerated promotions and other meritorious achievements led to Joseph being selected for Drill Instructor School in the fall of 1980. One of the most elite schools in the Marine Corps, D. I. School is a demanding nine-week leadership course where Sergeant Stith would learn how to transform civilians into disciplined, combat ready Marines. By the time Joseph had trained and graduated his second platoon, he was an award winning Drill Instructor attracting the attention of senior leadership. But instead of accepting an invitation to return to D.I. School as an Instructor, Joseph ended his 6+ year Marine Corps enlistment with an honorable discharge to pursue his education and begin teaching leadership to professionals and executives. Executive Coaching Taking his leadership training beyond the Marine Corps, Joseph began to focus his attention on teaching executives how to accelerate productivity and build powerful winning teams of their own. Now an Executive Coach, Joseph was a leader in an evolving industry. In the early 1980’s, when coaching was associated only with sports, he became a founding member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and was making a real difference in the lives of business professionals one on one. Speaking Up Since 1985, Joseph’s audience has expanded to include National and International conventions. When you hear Joseph speak, you will realize a new level of motivation – one that comes from seeing and doing rather than simply hearing and forgetting. |
